The anti-slop promise
Anti-slop, not anti-AI.
Stories are humans expressing humanity. AI handles the paperwork.
AI slop makes stories more predictable. StoryDNA is built to make yours deeper.
What slop does to a story
Slop is what you get when AI replaces human creativity instead of serving it. It pulls every story toward the same shallow middle, and readers feel the emptiness before they can name it. StoryDNA exists to do the opposite: to draw more human depth out of you than you knew your story had.
A human creative core
StoryDNA's core process uses no AI. It was years in the making, designed before the AI boom: a guided path of questions that teach the craft, show how great stories handled each idea, and keep your earlier answers in view, from the big turns of your story down to every scene. Every decision is yours.
Optional AI analysis, only if you ask
When AI arrived, it was layered on top, carefully, to do what it does best. If you'd like a second look, optional reports and Story Insights show you your story from new angles and point out weak spots. It can suggest. It never decides for you, and it never creates your story.
Private by default
Your story is yours. It is never shared with other writers and never used to train AI.
AI never creates your story. That's the rule.
I designed StoryDNA's core over years, before AI was everywhere. It's a guided path of questions that teach the craft, show how great stories handled it, and keep your earlier answers in view, until you have a powerful story. No AI needed. When AI arrived, I layered it on top, carefully, to do what it does best: offer feedback and fresh angles on what you've made.
The seal
You'll find this stamp on everything we make. It says two things, and both are literally true: a human creative core, and optional AI analysis.
